The Blake group at UC Irvine will conduct a "grid" sampling project at about 16 sites around the Caltech supersite thus weekend.
The goal of this experiment is to assess the spatial variation of a suite of VOCs, CFCs, etc. under early morning dowslope flow and afternoon "sea breeze" onshore flow conditions. The motivation for this work is to determine how representative the supersite is for the larger Pasadena-western San Gabriel Valley region and to provide comparson ground samples to aid interpretation of samples collected on the P3. These data will be made available in the Calnex archive, hopefully before the end of field operations.
